Jody Lynn Futrzynski

Jody Lynn Futrzynski, 34, loving dog mom to her sweetie pie, ‘Jax,’ was greeted at the gates of Heaven on Friday, October 11, 2019 by her grandparents, Joe and Athen Lee and John and Jennie Futrzynski, and all her favorite aunts and uncles after a two year battle with breast cancer.

Her life will be remembered and honored by her parents, Tom and Jody Futrzynski; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jaime and Dave Slaton and Jennie and John Walker; and her nieces and nephews: Joshua, Maria, Caleb, Fayth, Zayden and Liam.

Jody lived in Morristown, Tennessee the last two years, but her heart was still in Cleveland where she was born and raised. She loved books, astrology, taking naps and playing Scattergories. She had a new passion for holistic healing and wanted to share it with others.

Jody was a girl of many nicknames. To her family, she was DoeDoe Bird; to her friends, she was Yody, Chade, Judge Judy, or just Judge; but no matter what the name, she was loved and she loved us. Her life was not perfect, and she encountered many bumps in the road. Sometimes she succeeded, sometimes she failed, but she tried the best she could. Jody marched to the beat of her own drum: amongst her crazy comments and complaints, which were many, there were jokes, sarcasm, and lots of laughter.

So raise your glasses to the sky and toast to the girl who made us all laugh. There will be tears for what we will miss, but let us celebrate the person Jody was and relish in the joy she brought to our lives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the love, support, and prayers throughout this journey.
