He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Annie Mae (Jones) Kyle; son, James Robert; adopted sons, Clarence and James Jones; grandons, Prinston Antonio Talley; two brothers and five sisters.

He was the oldest living member of the Houseton Treece Family.

Before marrying the love of his life, he served during World War II in the U.S. Army, in the Phillippines.

On Jan. 15, 1947, he married the love his life and their union was blessed with five loving children, who all survive him: James Frank Kyle Jr., Carolyn McKinney, Karen (Donald) Talley, Lee Anna Logwood and Mark (Kim) Kyle, all of Morristown.

He is also survived by 15 devoted grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty (George) Johnson of Akron Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; a wonderful church family; extended family of the Gilbert Street neighborhood and the Senior Citizens Center; and good friends, Robert Davis, J.P. Hall and Raymond Farmer.

He was retired from Wallace Hardware. He was a former deacon and remained devoted to serving the Lord, attending morning Bible study and worshipping with his family. He love working in his flower beds, going to work out three times per week and cooking for all his grandchildren. He lived and loved life to the fullest.

He was well known around town as ‘Pawpaw,’ ‘Uncle Frank’ and ‘Mr. Kyle.’

He was greatly blessed and highly favored, imperfect but a forgiven child of God. Our earthly loss is heaven’s gain.

Special thanks to the staff at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System and the Mt. Olive Baptist Church family.
