Geraldine Wolfe Winstead, 79, of Thorn Hill, was born November 18, 1940, and went to be with the Lord March 25, 2020 at Ridgeview Terrace Skilled Nursing Facility with her family at her side. She was saved at Providence Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful member until her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezekiah and Birdie Ferguson Wolfe; and husband, Kermit Lee Winstead.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Winstead Campbell and husband Rick; two grandchildren, Nolan and Natalie Campbell; sisters-in-law, Ruby Greene and Blanch Winstead; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to Ridgeview Terrace Skilled Nursing Facility for the excellent care, and to my childhood friend, Jim Antrican, who works at Ridgeview, and loved Mom dearly.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the family will receive friends 1 – 3 p.m., Sunday March 29 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating, and Brenda and Fred Reed singing. Graveside services will follow at the Wolfe-Bray Cemetery on the family farm.
