George Leonard Horner

George Leonard Horner, 77, of Chucky, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home. He served as an avionics mechanic in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1966. Then he worked and retired as a realtor in Illinois. After retirement, he moved to Chucky and worked part time at the Greene County Landfill transfer station.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lola Horner; brothers, J.C., Ellis and William “Dub” Horner; and sisters, Carrie (Jo) Shults, Grace Rhines, Dorothy Parsons and Nan Cansler.

He is survived by brothers, Eugene, Eddie and Jack (Ruby) Horner; sisters, Lillian Starnes and Marie Moore; sister-in-law, Jean Horner; special nephew, Tim Horner; special friend, Shirley Voiles; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
