Fred J. Rymer, 89, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 at The Heritage Center.
He attended Montvue Baptist Church, was an avid antique collector and dealer with his wife of 70 years, Dorothy L. Rymer, who preceded him in death in March. He was also a retired truck driver for REA Express.
Also preceding Fred in death are his parents, Arthur and Nell Rymer and son, Jeff Rymer.
Fred leaves his daughter, Diana (Steve) Mullins; grandchildren: Byron (Karen) Mullins, Chad (Lora) Mullins, Jeff (Carlee) Rymer, Jeremy (Pansy) Rymer, Tanya Peters, Casey (Keith) Rouse and Daniel and Daniele Rymer and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Cobble and Shirley Gregg; special nieces, Deb Tracy, Cindy and Sabrina, and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and CNAs, and Eunice and Patsy in the activities center, at The Heritage Center for the care and support they have given.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019 at Mayes Mortuary, with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ken Cole officiating.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
