Faye T. Conner

Faye T. Conner, 93, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 30, 1926. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She loved cooking and spending time with loved ones. She was of the Baptist faith.

After some time in Baltimore, she returned to Morristown where she worked at Freels Drug Store, before joining the staff of the Morristown-Hamblen Adult Center. At the center she thrived on organizing activities, trips and painting ceramics.

She always enjoyed the company of friends and neighbors, especially Judy and Terry Dickerson and Sue Givens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Conner; children, Harold Trent, Georgia Young and a stillborn son; parents, Jess and Carrie Turner; brothers, Creed (Ova) Turner, Kyle (Liz) Turner, Joe (Ethel) Turner, Ray Turner, and Hoover (Mildred) Turner; and the father of her children, Carl Trent.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Doug) Skeen and Linda (Johnny) Trent, both of Morristown; grandchildren, Jimmy and Kevin Young of Pigeon Forge, Brian (Patty) Young of Dickson, Tennessee, Ronnie (Michelle) Trent, Bobby Trent, Nicole Skeen, all of Morristown, Sandi Skeen of Knoxville; along with several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her hospice team, Cyndee, Maggie, Tom and Lisa for everything they did for her during her sickness.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Friday, September 13 in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. James Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at noon, Saturday, September 14 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for a graveside/interment service.
