Ethel Vernice “Neacy Byrd” Walker

Ethel Vernice “Neacy Byrd” Walker, 89, of Morristown (our loving mother) passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Jefferson Park at Dandridge. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Bean Station.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene “Bud” Dodson and James H. Walker; parents, Thomas and Eva Lee Byrd; brothers, Leslie and George Byrd; sisters, Virginia Miller, Maggie-Lea Harbin, Mae Miller, Nannie Belle Byrd; niece, Christine Milligan and nephew, Billy Carroll Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Wilma J. Baxter, Sheila Calloway, and Leslie and Missy Walker; nieces and nephews, Ron Byrd, Sherry Smith, Danny Jinks, Peggy Denton, Lee Miller, Haskel and J.C. Harbin.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Riverview Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., with Rev. Gregg Ellison officiating. Interment will follow at Heath’s Chapel Cemetery.
