Eileen H. Singleton Mallicoat Lane, 92, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at UT Medical Center.

A resident of Knox County at the time of her passing, she was born in Claiborne County and spent several years in Grainger and Hamblen counties and some time in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a member of Wooddale Church of Christ in Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Mallicoat; brothers, Edsel Dean Singleton and Wint “Junior” Singleton Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Singleton Tibbs.

Eileen leaves her daughters, Wanda Mallicoat Sharp of Knoxville and Barbara Mallicoat Bennett of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandson, Anthony Sharp; great-grandson, Brian Sharp; brother, Wayne Singleton; sisters, Ida Mae Robinson and Shirley Isbell; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 4 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 4 at Mayes Mortuary, and noon – 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 5 with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
