Della Mae Langston, 83, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 9, 2019 at The Serenity House. She was of the Baptist faith. Della was a seamstress; loved to make quilts and loved the outdoors.
Della was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Langston; sisters, Pauline Williams and Myrtle Sammons; brother, Ben Mayes Jr.; and parents, Ben and Mary Mayes.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Lee Langston and Roger L. (Denat) Langston; sister, Mary June Foulks; brother, King Mayes; grandchildren, Tabitha Langston, Amy (Phillip) Russell, Pam Malone, and Roger (Ashley) Langston; great-grandchildren, Makayla Price, Anna Price, Kaitlyn Price, Bailey Russell, Hunter Langston, and Rylan Langston; special friends, Kim Salazar, and Eddie and Charlotte Davidson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to mention a special thanks to the staffs of UT Hospice, Senior Citizens Home Assistance services and Serenity House for all their genuine care, kindness and support during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, September 12 at Allen Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the east chapel at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 13 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
