Dale Smith, 80, of Morristown, departed to be face to face with the Lord Sunday, April 5, 2020. Dale was saved at a young age at Thankful Baptist Church. Dale was a small engine mechanic and he owned and operated Morristown Small Engine on Lincoln Avenue for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Blanche Smith; brother, Gordon Smith; and nephew, Steve Silver.

He is survived by his sisters, Katherine Mahan, Doris Standifer and Willistene (Charles) Cannon, all of Talbott; niece, Kim Thompson (Bruce) of Rutledge; nephew, Anthony Smith and his sons, Brice and Logan, of Morristown; and great-nephews, his deer hunting buddies, Colby Thompson (fiancée Amber) of Knoxville and Josh Thompson (fiancée Brooke) of Talbott.

The family expresses their gratitude to all who have extended their kindness and prayers during Dale’s illness. Special thanks to Sarah Barrett for her care-giving in his final days.

The family will have a private service.
