Charles “Chuck” Summers

Charles “Chuck” Summers, 77, of Baneberry, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

He was retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation, and a member of First United Methodist Church of White Pine. Chuck enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a former mayor of Baneberry, a member of Leadvale Masonic Lodge F&AM #390, and an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sue Summers; children, Dawn (Charles) Duncan, David (Pam) Summers, Matthew (Becky) Summers and Melissa (Dan) Foster-Payne; grandchildren, Caroline and Lauren Duncan, Jackson and Ethan Summers, Ashley and Thomas Summers, and Brady Parson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Family and friends may pay their respects 6 – 7 p.m., Monday, June 14 at First United Methodist Church of White Pine. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
