Bobby Clinton Baxley

Bobby Clinton Baxley, 84, of Morristown passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at his home.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vaughtie Baxley; parents-in-law, Sam and Leona Pettigrew; sisters, Pauline Baxley and Mildred Hughes; brothers, Pat Baxley and Steve Baxley; brothers-in-law, Gene Hughes, Lynn Elkins, and Kenny Hux; and son-in-law, Tommy Cozart.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patricia ‘Patty’ Baxley; children, Susan Cozart and Tim (Tiana) Baxley; grandchildren, Bo Cozart, Kaylee and Jessica Baxley; brother, David (Dot) Baxley; sister, Brenda (Lynn) Phillips; sisters-in-law, Emma Baxley, Brenda (Ted) Haun, Linda “Mo” (Dee) Miller, and Darlis Hux; special best friends, Bobby and Margaret McBride.

Bobby retired from Enka/BASF after 41 years and was owner of Countryside Frame and Art Gallery. He was an active member and former president of the Morristown Art Association.

The family would like to thank Dr. Yarid and his staff; the staff of Avalon Hospice; as well as caregivers, Sonya Helms, Dorothy Dean, and Grace Brock.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Alder Funeral Home and the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. Brian Collins, Rev. Shane Pierce, and Rev. Bobby Helton officiating.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery, with Nelson Harbin officiating.
