Betty Marsh Elkins Snyder, 88 of Morristown passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Heritage Center. She was a long-time member of Calvue Missionary Baptist Church, where she was saved as a young mother.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Toney ‘T.J.’ Elkins, Jr. and Herbert Snyder; parents, Tom, Jr. and Louise Marsh; brother, Willis Marsh; sisters, Mary Ailshie and Melinda Hanna; and sister-in-law, Raye Marsh.

Survivors include her sons, Rev. Mike (Darlene) Elkins and Toney (Laura) Elkins; daughter, Marsha (Carl) Kinsler; step-son, Larry (Charlotte) Snyder; grandchildren: Ashley (Steve) Howard, Thomas (Vicki) Elkins, Ryan Kinsler, Matthew Elkins, and David (Elizabeth) Elkins; step-grandchildren, Bryan (Amanda) Brown, Brian-David Snow, Savana Snow, Sabrena (Sam) Killen, Scott Snyder, and Karen Scott; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Cooper, Ben, Liam, Everette, Sarah, Emery, and Emily; brother, Tommy (Gemma) Marsh; brother-in-law, Harry Ailshie; sister-in-law, Joan Marsh; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Calvue Missionary Baptist Church and the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Travis Bowden and Rev. Sonny Davis officiating.

Family and friends will meet at Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday, November 17, 2019 for a 2 p.m. graveside service, with Rev. Lee Seal officiating.
