Bernard Laverne Graff, 88, of Morristown, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He served in the US Navy from January 1951 to October 1954 as an electronic technician in the Pacific theater. He received the National Defense service medal, UN service medal, Korean service medal (with two engagement stars) and the China service medal. He worked as an electronic engineer with Sylvania in Batavia, New York state until the factory moved to Jefferson City, Tennessee in the early 1980s. After he retired Bernie loved his daily morning walks chatting with his neighbors. He donated funds to help build an outdoor science lab at an elementary school in Strawberry Plains. He also provided partial scholarships to six nursing students at a local community college. He created butterfly gardens for his wife of 61 years.

Mr. Graff was preceded by his wife, Pauline on June 12, 2016, but is survived by their three children, Brenda Graff, Debra Graff and James Graff.

A memorial service will be held for Bernard Graff 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 in the parlor room (turn right when you get off the elevator) on the second floor at Regency Retirement Village located at 739 East 2ndNorth Street in Morristown, Tennessee.
