Benjamin Fredrick “Fred” Walker

Benjamin Fredrick “Fred” Walker, 83, of Talbott, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was retired from the City of Morristown Public Works Department and loved his family, Dale Earnhardt, and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Charlie and Mary Kate Walker; daughter, Stacey Walker; son, Gregory Walker; brothers, Carl, Lee, Keith, J.C., Billy, and Doris Walker; and sister, Juanita Dotson.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Sue Walker; daughters, Karen West and Bennie Hatfield; grandchildren, Benjamin, Phillip (Kayla), Justin (Nicole), Brandon and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Alyssa, Catherine, Allie and Mason.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 28 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Herbie Burchell officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 29 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
