Anne Smith DeBord, 82, of Morristown, passed from this life into eternal life Monday September 14, 2020 at The Heritage Center.
One of five children, Anne was born December 6, 1937 to the late Charlie and Ruby Smith of Sneedville. She graduated from Hancock High School in Sneedville. She married her sweetheart, George, on October 19, 1958.
Anne professed our Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George DeBord; sister, Clella Odom; and infant sister, Geraldine Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kathy) DeBord and Randy DeBord; grandsons, whom she absolutely adored, Rand and Dylan DeBord, their mother, Wanda DeBord; brother, Ken (Rowena) Smith; sister, Norma Martin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends 3 – 7 p.m., Thursday, September 17 in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m., Friday, September 18 in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Larry Parrott officiating.
