Two flown to UT Medical Center after Friday crash

Two people were flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Friday when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a car.

David Brinkley, 51, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Vicki Dageenakis, 55, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, were both injured in the crash that happened at the intersection of Jarnagin and Lincoln avenues.

The driver of the car that struck the vehicle, Jacob Carattini, 18, of Morristown, was cited for failure to yield and a passenger, Jodie Wiliams, 19, of Morristown, was not injured.

According to Morristown police, Carattini, driving a 2019 Kia Opti was stopped at the intersection of Lincoln and Jarnagin avenues.

Brinklely and Dageenakis were headed south on a 2006 Honda GL8 motorcycle. Authorities sazid Carattini pulled in front of the motorcycle, causing them to crash.
