Content Exchange

The Advocate & Democrat is announcing some changes to its distribution process.

Effective May 1, 2019, we will no longer be printing and distributing a Sunday (Weekend) Edition, instead only printing a paper on Wednesdays. The final Sunday Edition will be April 28. That means The Advocate & Democrat will only be publishing a printed product on Wednesdays. However, there will be stories online that will be unique other days of the week, giving subscribers the most timely news. The Wednesday (Mid-Week) Edition of the printed paper will be larger than the former Wednesday editions, incorporating some of the content from the former Sunday editions.

The changes we are making will transform The Advocate & Democrat into a more timely digital news offering, giving readers more choices on how they consume information about Monroe County.

All paper subscribers will have total access to our website, where you will find unique stories being posted throughout the week. You must be a current subscriber to access the website. Anyone with questions about logging on to the site can call us at 423-745-5664 and ask for Pat Helms.

Whether it be news, sports, lifestyle, or regional information, we have you covered. And, with expanded focus on our online distribution, you will continue to get the best coverage in the area.

As our readers’ habits change, we feel an obligation to change with them. By offering digital and print options, we can be even more valuable to all of our customers. That is our commitment to the thousands of people who rely on us for local information every day.

And it’s a commitment we take very seriously.
