Shoney’s of Knoxville operates 18 restaurants in 10 East Tennessee counties, including the Morristown location at 1933 West Andrew Johnson Highway.

Shoney’s Morristown has been open since August, 1968. It is a family-friendly restaurant, famous for the bountiful breakfast, lunch and dinner “Fresh Food Bars,” along with Shoney’s full-service menu.

Known for their “buffet,” it is now known as the “Fresh Food Bar.” Shoney’s believes that it is a much better description of the food offerings served every day.

The selections change daily and customers can count on fresh salad bar items, meats and home style vegetables.

Customers will be served with big, warm smiles with their plate overflowing with fresh, great-tasting food. The “Fresh Food Bar” is offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including fried chicken, meatloaf, BBQ pork, turkey and gravy, along with seasonal favorites.

Or, order from the full menu, including burgers, steaks, chicken, sandwiches, pasta and seafood. The breakfast bar is available until early afternoon on weekends and holidays.

Shoney’s managers have completed the ServeSafe Certification which certifies that managers know and understand the importance of safe food handling practices. The restaurant is consistently graded by the health department, often with a perfect score of 100.

Shoney’s is also proud of the many people employed in the Morristown. Many of their loyal staff have been with Shoney’s for 20 to 30 years.

Those too busy to cook can take advantage of Shoney’s “Take Home Box.” This offers fresh fried chicken and meatloaf rounds, along with two hot sides, two cold sides and a gallon of tea. There are three sizes that serve 4, 6 or 10 people. Call for details.

Their private dining room accommodates groups, civic clubs and more. For more information, contact Executive Manager David Wilson at 423-581-0800. Shoney’s hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
