Redbud Deli, located at 345 East Economy Road in Morristown, is a friendly, fast-casual restaurant that serves fresh sandwiches, salads, soups, snacks and sweets.
Redbud believes that delicious food doesn’t have to take a long time to cook, and eating that food in a friendly environment makes everything taste better.
Redbud serves food for every taste bud: fresh, flavorful sandwiches, light, healthy salads and warm, hearty, decadent entrees. Redbud also offers vegetarian and gluten-friendly options.
Most items are made in-house from scratch, using their own recipes, including salad dressings, soups, condiments, meatloaf, chicken salad, pimento cheese, potato salad and much more.
The restaurant also features some mouth-watering selections, like Grilled Meatloaf Panini and Chicken Basil Flatbread. However, one will never tire of Redbud’s menu as the deli is always offering something new and wonderful to experience.
Lisa and Wally Long opened Redbud Deli on September 19, 2014, but it was in the works long before that time. Lisa’s passion for food started in North Dakota, where she grew up on an apple orchard. When she turned 16, she got to work in fast food. Her love of the restaurant business led her to graduate from culinary school at the top of her class. Once her education was complete, she settled in Tennessee and was blessed with several fine dining opportunities, including a position as the executive chef at The Country Club of Morristown. Redbud Deli reflects Lisa’s love for the beautiful pink blossoms that emerge from the Redbud tree in the spring.
Wally has been a business owner and country club house manager. Both are passionate about delicious food and being part of the community. Owning and operating a restaurant in Morristown was just a natural extension.
Both have lifetimes of restaurant, catering and business experience. Lisa is a classically-trained chef and has worked her way up in all sorts of restaurant kitchens and catering operations. Lisa has a culinary degree, a bachelor’s degree in business management and has taught several culinary courses.
Wally has 30 years of business experience, more than 10 years of restaurant experience and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Tennessee.
Redbud’s menu is bright, fresh on flavor and unique to the Lakeway Area. Everything is made from their own recipes that were by Lisa and people she has worked with over the years. Redbud works hard to consistently provide a warm, welcoming place where people can feel cared about and leave feeling satisfied and ready for the rest of the day.
In a hurry? Be sure to grab your favorite Redbud delicacy from their cold case, whether it be sandwiches and salads to drinks and desserts.
Redbud Deli also provides fresh, delicious, professional and reliable catering for business meetings, casual celebrations, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, showers, birthday parties and any other event where people want great food but don’t want to make it themselves.
Redbud Deli is open from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
