Margaret Renner receives  25-year honor from NSDAR

The Samuel Doak Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Regent Carol Long recently presented a certificate to Margaret Renner for her 25 years continuous membership.

Margaret is the wife of Jack Renner, and the mother of Samuel Doak Chapter Member Jean Ann (Judge John) Dugger. Her sister, the late Betty (Don) Bible, joined the Samuel Doak Chapter NSDAR with Margaret on October 7, 1995. Margaret has served the Chapter as Registrar, Good Citizen Chairman, Constitution Week Chairman, Americanism and DAR Manual for Citizenship Chairman, and the Flag of U.S. Chairman.

More than 1,000,000 women have joined the DAR since founded in 1890. Members dedicate themselves to historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotism in their communities. DAR members come from diverse backgrounds, with their common bond being their lineal descent from patriots of the American Revolution. Regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, women who can prove this lineage are eligible to join.
