The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday released new details in its homicide investigation into human remains found in a bag on the banks of Douglas Lake on March 10.

At the time Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Coffey said the adult male was wearing a “Walking Dead” T-shirt and blue jeans, and the name “Gerald” was found on a leather belt.

TBI officials say they believe the victim was between 5’ to 5’8” tall, and weighed about 158 pounds.

Investigators have not determined the ethnicity of the victim, but because he may have been of Hispanic descent, the TBI says it has issued a Spanish-language news release asking for more information in the case.

The agency also said the body remains were in a 2008 edition Thompson Cigar Company “Match Play” Golf bag.

Anyone with information should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office or call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
