Cocke County authorities are continuing their investigation into an Aug. 8 fire which led to the discovery of a marijuana grow operation.
The blaze on Messer Branch Road in the Hartford community destroyed a mobile home valued at an estimated $10,000.
Deputy Jonathan Ochs said the mobile home was owned by Jason Yates and others. Yates said he was in the process of evicting the renter Kenneth Ledford, 43, when Ledford was arrested and jailed on unrelated charges on July 29.
The blaze was fought by the Cocke County Fire Department and the Cosby and Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Departments.
Investigators who are investigating the blaze as possible arson, also discovered 63 marijuana plants growing near the home.
