Dr. Patricia Sigler has been named as an assistant principal at Morristown-Hamblen High School West and will begin her new position at the start of the next school year, school officials said.
Dr. Jeff Perry, school superintendent, announced the decision last week.
Perry said Sigler has tremendous administration and organizational skills that will help significantly as she works with West High School Principal Jeff Kinsler.
Sigler is no stranger to administration work. She has worked for almost 17 years as an assistant principal at Morristown-Hamblen High School East.
She received her doctorate in education from East Tennessee State University in 2008 master’s of education from Lincoln Memorial University in 2003 and bachelor’s of education from Ohio University in 1983.
She’s also worked at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina and Clarksville Montgomery Schools in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Perry said the position of assistant principal at East High School is still open at this time. He said new Principal Joe Ely could possibly make the decision on who will fill the open position in a few weeks.
