Annual Holiday Bazaar will be 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16. Accepting vendor applications now. Call 423-581-5166 for details. The new crop of pecans and Sweetwater Valley cheese will be available for sale. Lots of baked goods for sale. Breakfast of tenderloin and sausage biscuits will be available; grilled hamburgers and hotdogs or a bowl of homemade chili will be available for lunch. A silent auction and mini indoor yard sale will be featured. Bazaar sponsors are Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, Citizens Bank, Crescent Center Drugs, TN Senior Benefits, Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, Modern Woodmen, Preston Bowen, Amedisys Home Health, Morristown City Councilmember Kay Senter, DeWitt Place, HealthStar and Interim Home Health.

Future trips:

Nov. 22, Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina. Cost is $35 with a $20 slot voucher once at casino. No food voucer provided. Call for reservation. Money due by Nov. 4

Medicare Open Enrollment – Oct. 15-Dec. 7. Call 581-5166 for an appointment.

Nov. 12, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Amanda Johnson, SHIP counselor will be available for appointment..

Senior staff will be available other days.

Nov. 26, 11:30 a.m., Thanksgiving Dinner – Turkey and dressing provided. Bring a covered side dish. Cost is $3 to cover expense of turkey and dressing from Davy Crockett Restaurant. Call center for reservation before Nov. 18.

UT Mobile Mammogram for Dec. 18 has been rescheduled for Jan. 22, 2020. Call 865-305-9753 for appointment.

The Senior Center is taking reservations to rent the Pavilion and Main Room. Available for family or group events spring, summer and fall. Call Debbie at 423-581-5166 for reservations.

Tai chi is offered every Tuesday and Thursday by instructor Jim Perdue. Cost is $2 per person. Tuesdays are for beginners and Thursdays are more advanced.

On Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Fridays at 10 a.m., S.A.I.L. (Stay Active and Independent for Life) exercise classes will be taught. Everyone exercises at their own pace, working toward a goal of mobility. Certified instructor is Jim Perdue. Cost is $2 per person. Call 423-581-5166 for more information.
