North Carolina man reports robbery

At last report, Cocke County authorities were searching for two suspects in a Nov. 5 alleged robbery and kidnapping.

Harley Shelton, of Marshall, North Carolina, told Deputy Lt. Chris Gregg he drove to Cocke County after arranging to have sex with Breanna Nicle Dockery, 23, Fairview Street, Newport.

Upon arrival, Shelton picked up Dockery and she directed him to an area where she said she had a tent and an air mattress.

But Shelton says upon arrival he heard someone behind him and then felt a gun press against his head.

The assailant, later identified as James Ray Ball, 42, RiverStreet, Newport, forced him onto the back seat of the auto, where his wallet, and pain medication were taken from him. Eventually, the 73-year-old victim says he was able to retrieve his handgun from his pocket, and he fired three shots at the couple, but is unsure if either was struck.

He reported the theft of his wallet which Shelton says contained $1,200.

Now Ball and Dockery are being sought on charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.
