A Morristown man found passed out on his riding lawn tractor Monday is facing public intoxication and open container charges.
George Dewey Carpenter, 69, of Castain Avenue, has been charged in the incident.
According to a report from the Morristown Police Department, officers were called to 1710 South Cumberland Street regarding a man passed out on his riding lawn tractor after crossing South Cumberland Street from Little Dandy Market to Murray’s Auto. When officers arrived, Carpenter was found sitting on his Craftsman lawn tractor and smelled of alcohol.
