A Morristown man was arrested Monday and charged with robbery and theft over $10,000 in an alleged atypical carjacking case reported on May 31, authorities say.

The owner of the 2007 Lexus, Iris Street resident Corey Michael Shockley, “became extremely intoxicated and blacked out” before he was pulled from the back seat of his vehicle in the Dice Street area by Dustin Simon Navarro Wise, 24, Deleonardo Drive, and one or more accomplices, according to a police report.

Detective Mike Bacon with the Morristown Police Department is seeking two possible suspects for questioning. Shockley, who was deposited on the ground, was not injured in the mid-afternoon auto theft.

Shockley’s Glock G34, which is valued at $1,100, was in his vehicle when it was taken, as was his cellphone, according to a police report. Late this morning, Wise remained in the Hamblen County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
