Knoxville TVA began in 1934 during the aftermath of the Great Depression.

At the time, a small group of Tennessee Valley Authority employees decided to form the credit union because they realized the need financial partner they could trust.

Since those humble beginnings, it has grown into a full-service financial institution serving more than 220,000 members across East Tennessee with more than 60,000 ATMs nationwide.
