Kelley Marie Chic Boutique’s third virtual fashion show was a hit Thursday event.
It was a year ago that Kelley Marie Simpson planned to use her annual Spring Fashion show to raise money for the Rose Center.
A week before the show, Gov. Bill Lee shut down non-essential business in an attempt to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. The models had been fitted, sponsors invested and door prizes accepted.
Simpson postponed the show twice, eventually presenting it online at www.citizentribune.com.
“It was done with lots of forward thinking and safety in mind,” Simpson said. It was presented behind closed doors of Rose Center where an audience could watch the show in the comfort of their own homes—safely. It was this ‘happy’ event that created a foundation for others to see the possibility that even though there was a pandemic, through forward thinking, diligence and hard work, the show could still go on.“
The Show was such a success that the model was repeated in the fall and now again the following spring once again benefitting the Rose Center.
If you missed it, the show is still available to view online at www.citizentribune.com as is a photo gallery of pictures.
