A Hawkins County man was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated robbery in the Feb. 26 drug heist at the West Andrew Johnson Highway CVS pharmacy, authorities say.

Being a creature of habit did not help the defendant, Dallas Shane Templeton, a 34-year-old man who lives on West Main Street in Rogersville, according to Detective Pete Shockley with the Morristown Police Department.

While allegedly robbing a CVS in Kingsport using the same method, Templeton left behind a fingerprint, and authorities used the print to identify Templeton as a suspect. When brought in for questioning, the defendant allegedly confessed to both robberies, according to Shockley.

Templeton allegedly was in the mood for Suboxone when he entered the Morristown pharmacy in February. He passed a note to a pharmacist, indicating that he had a firearm. Templeton left the store with 86 Suboxone strips, which have retail value of $882, according to an offense report.

The defendant was released from the Hamblen County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond. His bond was initially set at $250,000.
