A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash investigation team is looking into a crash that occurred on East Morris Boulevard just around1:30 p.m. today.
A Gallatin man allegedly trying to elude police was injured when the black Ford SUV he was driving and narrowly hit a Volkswagen car near the UPS Customer Center on East Morris Boulevard Tuesday.
The driver, Erson Maras, 30, faces charges.
According to a report, Morristown police officers were chasing Maras when he almost struck a Volkswagen. He swerved, hit a curb and the SUV rolled over several times before hitting the UPS building and a concrete pole.
The driver of the SUV was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center from Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System, authorities said where his status was unknown.
