Midway – Walmart driver Joseph Dean recently achieved 3 million safe driving accident free miles. Mr. Dean started his Walmart driving career in September 1992 and has been a part of the Midway Transportation team since the facility opened in April 1997.
In addition to his Walmart career Joe started driving in November 1965 and has over 6 million total career miles. Joe was honored as the 2017 Tennessee Trucking Association’s Driver of the Year and has represented the Midway, Tennessee Transportation Office in several state driving championship competitions.
“We are extremely proud of Joe on achieving this outstanding safety accomplishment,” Brian Bragdon, General Transportation Manager, noting that “Joe is the first driver at our Midway, Tennessee Transportation Office to achieve the 3 million accident free level.”
Joe is a life-long resident of Whitesburg, Tennessee and has been married to his wife Jane for 54 years. They have two children, Brian and Trevor, and five grandchildren. His son, Brian, is also a Walmart driver at the Midway Transportation Office.
