Comedian Gabriel Iglesias to headline ETSU’s SGA Fall Major Concert

Gabriel Iglesias arrives at the LA Premiere Of “A Haunted House 2”. Iglesias will perform at the annual ETSU SGA Fall Major Concert.

JOHNSON CITY – Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will headline East Tennessee State University’s Student Government Association Fall Major Concert as part of his 2019 “Beyond the Fluffy” World Tour on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Freedom Hall Civic Center.

Iglesias is one of a handful of comedians with the distinct honor to headline and sell out the Staples Center, Madison Square Garden and Australia’s Sydney Opera House. In addition to being one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians, he is one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over 410 million views and has over 14 million fans across social media.

Iglesias was recently featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018 issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels.

Iglesias is the star and executive producer of the comedy series “Mr. Iglesias” for Netflix, in which he plays a good-natured high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being “counseled out” by a bully bureaucrat assistant principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential. The series has 10 half-hour episodes and is now streaming globally.
