Cocke County Grand Jury  returns indictments on  child abuse, attempted  murder and more

The Cocke County Grand Jury met this week.

Xzavier Raistlin Hull, 26 and his wife, Kimberly Barbara Hull, were indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated child abuse, two counts of aggravated child abuse involving a child under the age of 8, two counts of aggravated child endangerment, and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In May 2020, the couple allegedly endangered the two children with the endangerment being "drugs everywhere in the home."

One child under the age of 8 also had drugs in its system, as well as bruising to the face and black eyes.

A Pennsylvania man is charged with attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.

In October 2020, Camilo Prias, 29, went to the Salem Road, Parrottsville, home of Aymie Zitnick-Prias and allegedly assaulted her.

The victim, who was pregnant, awoke when her husband put his hands around her neck as she slept with two of her children. The victim said she kicked her husband off of her as he continued to put his hands around her neck. She also was tasered by her attacker and cut on the neck with a knife, resulting in hospital treatment.

James Ray Ball, 42, River Street, Newport, and Breanna Nicle Dockery, 23, Fairview Street, Newport, are charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

Harley Shelton, Marshall, North Carolina told investigators he drove to Cocke County after arranging to have sex with Dockery.

Shelton picked up Dockery, who directed him to an area where she said she had a tent and an air mattress.

But the 73-year-old Shelton says upon arrival Ball forced him onto the back seat of the auto, where his wallet with $1,200, and pain medication was taken from him.

Tommy Lee Rice 39, Baysinger Road, Newport, is charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, attempted first degree murder, possession of a weapon with the intent to go armed and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Rice allegedly shot Cody Jordan Reed, 25, White Road, in the leg with a sawed-off shotgun at close range. Reed also had been struck on the head with the weapon, leaving a facial injury in an incident at the Rankin boat dock on New Year's Eve.

Rice then fled the scene and Reed was found lying behind a home on Bybee Road, where he had run after the shooting.
