Claiborne men charged in break-in

Two Claiborne County men are facing charges in a burglary in the Sharp Hollow community Monday evening.

Deputies with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office found Harold Douglas Long, 48, and Matthew Colton Bunch, 33, both of Tazewell, were attempting to take items from the home. Items found were an air tank, a standing fan and an older pickup truck loaded with other items from the property.

Long was charged with criminal trespassing, aggravated burglary, burglary of an outbuilding, theft over $1,000, felony criminal conspiracy and burglary of a motor vehicle. Bunch was arrested later that evening on unrelated warrants and also being charged with aggravated burglary, burglary of an outbuilding, theft over $1,000, felony criminal conspiracy, vandalism under $1,000 and burglary of a motor vehicle.
