Banking at Citizens National Bank has its perks.
CNB has been serving its local communities for nearly five decades. Its longevity and success are the result of our unwavering commitment to providing customers with sound financial advice, innovative products and services, convenient delivery channels and leading-edge technology and security.
In 1973, the bank opened its first office opened with six employees and $1.25 million in capital. They quickly began extending it reach by opening the Pigeon Forge branch in 1974 and the Kodak branch in 1976.
In 1983, they moved into its new main office at 200 Forks of the River Parkway, where its headquarters remain today, and our assets hit $34 million.
With $100 million in assets by 1992, they continued expanding by acquiring the Seymour Branch in the Tri-County area and establishing our mortgage loan department. In 1993, they launched a state-of-the-art checking system, the first of its kind in Tennessee to feature Image Statements; and, in 1994, they opened an in-house credit card department.
Armed with $200 million in assets by 1995, the bank led the way introducing Supermarket banking in Sevier County by opening a branch inside Walmart in Sevierville. It also quickly adapted to changing times by launching our website, the 24-hour Expressline phone banking system, and our Investment Center all in 1997.
By 1998, during its 25th anniversary, it opened two more branches in Seymour and Pigeon Forge Kroger stores, and its assets topped $300 million.
