The mystery movie “Knives Out” will be the next movie in the Starlite Cinema series to be held on Friday, July 17 at Frank Lorino Park in Morristown.
“Knives Out” is rated PG-13 and will begin at dusk. Admission is free.
The movie plot involves circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey. The circumstances are mysterious, but there’s one thing that renowned Detective Benoit Blanc, played by Roger Craig, knows for sure -- everyone in the wildly dysfunctional Thrombey family is a suspect. Now, Blanc must sift through a web of lies and red herrings to uncover the truth.
The broadcast will be delivered through a FM transmitter for the drive-in style movie. Cars will be parked with spacing for proper distancing and will allow space if patrons would like to bring a chair to sit outside the car, however a FM radio will be needed for sound. Staff and volunteers will be present to assist with parking.
For the safety of all, the Morristown Parks and Recreation Department has asked that once patrons are parked do not leave until the movie ends. Staff will begin parking cars at 7:30 p.m.
Music Bingo, a fun filled and fast paced take on traditional bingo, will begin at 8 p.m. Players are given a bingo card where numbers have been replaced with song names, music titles or both. The host DJ plays 10-15-second clips of music and patrons will mark off spots on their bingo card.
Concessions will be available from Big Al’s Barbeque and Snowie of Lakeway.
