Grainger County Parks & Recreation and the City of Rutledge invites everyone to the second Annual Trunk or Treat Event to be held at the Grainger County Courthouse in Rutledge on Halloween Night, Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In order to follow recommended guidelines, set forth to reduce the spread of COVID-19, this year’s event will be a drive-thru only event with all treats pre-packaged.
All volunteers will also be wearing gloves and facial coverings while handing out treats to children in their vehicles.
In order to maintain social distancing and safety treats will not be given to pedestrians.
Grainger County Parks & Recreation and the City of Rutledge are partnering again this year with other county government offices and surrounding local businesses to provide a safer Halloween Event for children in Grainger County.
Further information about directional traffic flow and street closures will be announced in a later edition.
However, current plans are for traffic to enter the event using Morgan Street and then exiting on Beets. Please call Grainger County Parks & Recreation at 865-828-9900 or the City of Rutledge at 865-828-3514 with any questions you may have concerning the event.
