The honors continue to roll in for KaTom Restaurant Supply, a family-owned business based in East Tennessee.
Food Equipment Reports, one of the primary industry publications, has chosen KaTom for its 2020 Management Excellence Award for Large Dealers, those doing more than $40 million in annual sales.
“It’s a management award, but it reflects the excellent work that is accomplished by every single associate of our KaTom team,” says Patricia Bible, Founder, President and CEO of the company. “It means a great deal coming from the premier publication Food Equipment Reports, which all of us in our industry follow.”
The award recognizes excellence in the delivery and performance of Equipment and Supply functions according to Kelly Killian, editor-in-chief and chief content officers of FER Magazine.
KaTom has also been recognized for continued growth. Growjo named KaTom to its 10,000 fastest growing companies. Growjo chose the company based on revenue growth, valuation increases, funding news, hiring announcements, job openings, growth triggers, leadership team developments and other financials.
“Our goal is continued rapid growth and our Destination Excellence effort, so these two awards reinforce that we are on the right track,” said Bible.
In fewer than 20 years KaTom has gone from a business operating out of the family garage to an industry leader expected to top $240 million in sales this year. They were an early adopter of online sales and their ecommerce division is among the largest in the industry. In addition to these latest awards the company has been named to the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies for a remarkable 11 years in a row. Of the tens of thousands of companies that have made the list, less than a quarter of a percent make it 11 times in a row.
“And we are certain this will be our best year ever,” said Bible. “We always do.”
