Hodges Admitted to the Tennessee Bar/Accepts position as Entertainment Division Director at Gordon Law Group
Benjamin A. Hodges, Esq., native of Morristown and 1987 graduate of Morristown-Hamblen High School West, has been admitted to the Tennessee Bar and has accepted a position as Director of the Entertainment Division at Gordon Law Group in Nashville. Since 1990, Robin Gordon has called Music Row home for his legal practice. He was first introduced to private practice as an associate with a well-known litigation and entertainment firm in Nashville. 1996, Robin Gordon created the Gordon Law Group, with a focus on entertainment, small business, and litigation, after representing artists such as George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Ronnie Milsap, and Garth Brooks. The Gordon Law Group represents publishing companies, record labels, and influential songwriters, musicians, and artists.
The firm has expanded its focus since its beginning in the mid-nineties to represent clients in contract negotiations, litigation, general business issues, domestic matters, and estate planning.
Hodges is a 2012 graduate of Seton Hall School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law.
A former actor, director, and theatre and film producer, he is also the former editor of the Theatre World as well as executive producer of the Theatre World Awards (both founded in New York by Morristown native John Willis in 1945). Additionally, Hodges has edited two volumes of twentieth-century play anthologies, as well as The Play That Changed My Life: America’s Foremost Playwrights on the Plays That Influenced Them, and The Commercial Theatre Institute Guide to Producing Plays and Musicals— the definitive reference guide to theatre production in America. Hodges has also served as executive producer of the LAMBDA Literary Awards and the Fire Island Literary and Theater Festival.
He is also a licensed attorney in New York and maintains an office there, as well as a home in Morristown.
