Residents and employees in Blount, Cocke, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox and Sevier counties are invited to visit Anakeesta for just $5 from Friday to Thursday, Oct. 1.
A portion of the proceeds from this week-long event will benefit Friends of the Smokies, who assists the National Park Service in its mission to preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
All locals who visit during this weeklong event can apply their $5 ticket to upgrade to an Annual Pass and will receive an additional $20 savings to enjoy the park for 365 days from the issue date.
New this year to the annual pass benefits are 20% off food and beverage purchases at select outlets, 20% off retail purchases, 20% off adventure activities like the dueling zip line and rail runner mountain coaster as well as receive a free buddy pass for a guest.
“It is always such a pleasure to offer our valued locals the opportunity to experience Anakeesta at a discounted price,” said Michele Canney, vice president of marketing and sales “And, at this time we are so excited to share the new attractions we have added to the park.”
The recent $6.5-million expansion at Anakeesta includes a treehouse themed challenge course called TreeVenture, the iconic AnaVista observation tower with 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and this month, Anakeesta’s new Black Bear Village located in the heart of the park featuring the new Cliff Top restaurant, new Kephart Café and new Mercantile retail shop.
Additional adventures, including the Dueling Zip line Adventure and Rail Runner Mountain Coaster requires an add-on ticket.
Each person in party must live or work in Blount, Cocke, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox and Sevier counties. Eligible guests must present photo identification or current paycheck stub with valid ID to receive discount.
Anakeesta is located at 576 Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg.
