Efforts continue for the annual Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation Gala, which is set to be held on Sept. 27 at The Rose Center in Morristown.

Emily Ann Roberts, who elevated her musical career as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2015, will be the featured entertainment for the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

A plated dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. and the entertainment will begin later in the evening.

Guests can enjoy a silent auction from the time the doors open, as many wonderful items will be up for auction. Also as part of the evening, cardiologist Dr. Sunil T. Ramaprasad will be presented with the Lifetime Commitment to Healthcare award. Dr. Ramaprasad has dedicated much of his life to serving patients of our region.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the purchase of an MRI safe pump, which will allow patients at the hospital to continue to receive intravenous medications, while conducting the scan.

“We greatly appreciate the community support of our Foundation,” Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System President and Chief Administrative Officer Gordon Lintz said. “This support allows us to provide equipment, services and education that many other community hospitals are not fortunate enough to have.

“We are thankful for our many contributors who make a difference in our hospital and community.”

Sponsorships for the event are still being accepted, and tickets for the event are still being sold. Individual tickets for the event are $175.
