‘Cane Homecoming Week a success

Welcome back to this week's Hurricane Watch. Morristown Hamblen East had a blast with the 2020 Football Homecoming Week. Despite the absence of pep rallies and powderpuff, which would typically be a huge part of Homecoming Week, students still participated in each HOCO theme. Teachers also participated in HOCO week as well, keeping the spirit alive here at Mo’East.

Students, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology now has openings for practical nursing day classes for high school students which meet the requirements. Signal Vine will be used for all seniors with questions in regards to TN Promise, FAFSA, or general questions about college. Filling out the form attached within the email lets her know where you plan on attending college so she may possibly send updates on that specific college to keep you updated. All information provided by the student will not be shared and will remain confidential to Nellie Greer. For further questions email Nellie Greer at

The Morristown East High Library has made weekly tip videos for those online having technical difficulties. In a weekly video named Thursday Tip Talk, the East High librarians touch on technical topics that may help online learners fix issues such as mic issues and finding missing assignments on Google Classroom. They also introduce helpful tips that students may not know they could use. Check these helpful Youtube videos on Amy Wheatley’s channel. The library also has a selection of spooky books to match the spirit of October. The section called Creepy Reads features Halloween themed books perfect for a good scare this season. Virtual and online students have the opportunity to check out these fear-filled books.
