Mason jars will be filled and emptied this weekend. The Popcorn Sutton Annual Memorial Jam will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Cocke County A & I Fairground in Newport. Gates open at 3 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday

Admission is $10 per day and kids 12 and under are free.

There will be live music, food, crafts, moonshiner and master distillers will all be present to celebrate the legacy of Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton and Appalachian heritage and traditions.

Moonshiner personalities and expert distillers will be present to promote their craft. Mark and Digger, JB, Kelley, Van Fields and Red Dog will be there. Master distillers Darrell Flack, Tony Perry, Scott Moore (“Moonshiner Scott”), Pegleg Stan and more will be bringing their expertise to the fair.

Friday night’s music lineup includes Pacer Fisher, Jeff Anderson and the Honky Tonk Revolution and Outlaw Whiskey Band.

Saturday’s lineup will feature No Speed Limit, Josh Hudson, The Dixie Sawbriars, the Stonewalls and Ali Randolph and the Ali Randolph Band.

There will be a charity auction to benefit the AMVETS Post 75 on Saturday.
