The Stella-Vees Blues band will bring Chicago and West Coast style blues, reﬂecting inﬂuences of legendary blues musicians like T-Bone Walker, Hollywood Fats, Magic Sam and Little Walter, back to the Rose Center.
If you like straight ahead, no effects pedal blues, you have found your band in the Stella Vees.
Winners of two of Kentuckiana’s Blues Society’s “Best Unsigned Blues Band Competition” in Louisville, The Stella-Vees have played major blues festivals since 2007 and continue to be a mainstay on the blues circuit.
Their latest CD, “Don’t Tell Me Your Name” won the 2015 Best Self Produced CD competition by the Kentuckiana Blues Society and placed in the top 20 for 2015 International Blues Challenge Best Self-Produced CD.
“You can ask their devoted local following—they will tell you all you need to know about why you should come see this show, or you can take a listen for yourself to Chicago-style blues group,” said Candy Durham, with the Rose Center.

General Admission table seating will be available on a ﬁrst-come, ﬁrst-serve basis. Reservations can be made in advance for groups of 10 or more. With a $12 advance ticket, and $15 dollars at the door, this show is a gem of a bargain. The show will be held in Rose Center’s Prater Hall on Friday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m.
