Knoxville – Zoo Knoxville is excited to announce the opening of Zoo Lights presented by Chick-fil-A Knoxville, an all-new light extravaganza featuring colorful animal lanterns, tree lights, and festive food and drinks. Zoo Lights opens on Friday, Nov. 27 and continues through Jan. 3, 2021 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. each evening.
Glowing silk lanterns of exotic animals are installed throughout the zoo, including a mesmerizing cobra tunnel spanning over 100 feet in length. Guests will journey through an enchanted forest of trees wrapped in lights and twinkling Moravian stars to experience an unforgettable new holiday tradition. Because holiday food and drinks are part of the fun, Zoo Knoxville’s chef has created a special menu that will appeal to both kids and adults.
While attending Zoo Lights, guests are invited to download or open the Chick-fil-A App to claim an offer for a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, which can be redeemed at Chick-fil-A Knoxville locations. The offer can be claimed once per guest from November 27 – January 3, only while at Zoo Lights.
Masks will be required for ages 12 and up to enter zoo public indoor areas such as restrooms, restaurants and the Zoo Shop. Guests will be asked to show they have one in their possession for entry to the zoo. Event attendees are asked to help maintain a safe environment by maintaining proper physical distancing of 6 feet between groups and wearing a mask if they cannot do so, washing their hands and using hand sanitizer stations throughout the zoo frequently, and staying home if you are sick or in a high risk group.
Zoo Lights tickets are $15 per person for ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Parking is free. Tickets are available online at zoolightsknoxville.com, by phone at 865-637-5331 and at the zoo’s ticket office during regular zoo hours. Zoo Knoxville members receive a $2 discount on admission tickets. The Zoo strongly encourages online ticket purchases to ensure entry as the number of tickets available will be limited each evening. Last admission at 8:00 each evening. Zoo Lights will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31, 2020 and Jan.1, 2021.
