Lakeway Area residents don’t have to go far to experience “Leaving Iowa,” the Encore Theatrical Company’s upcoming play about family and family vacations.
“‘Leaving Iowa’ is about family- hopes and dreams, our successes, our fondest memories are all shared with family,” said Candace Moore, the play’s director. “Sometimes we take all of this for granted, not saying ‘thank you’ or ‘I love you,’ before it’s too late.”
“Leaving Iowa” will be presented at Prater Hall at the Rose Center on June 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. and June 20 and 27 at 3 p.m.
“Leaving Iowa,” has played to dozens of theaters across the country to great success. The family-friendly comedy offers a tip of its hat to the “greatest generation” and the legacy they leave behind, as well as a sentimental observation of the dynamics of a family vacation.
