PIGEON FORGE – Dollywood is gearing up for its 2021 season by casting talent ready to shine in the park’s beloved shows. Due to social distancing protocol, interested performers should note this year’s open-call auditions are by appointment only.
Auditions will take place at Dollywood on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021; however, performers must schedule their audition by calling (865) 429-9752 Monday, Jan. 4—Friday, Jan. 8 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and only auditionees are allowed to enter. Masks will be required at all times except while singing, and performers must pass a COVID-19 screening and temperature check prior to entering.
Members of Dollywood’s entertainment team are looking for talented singers and expressive actors who desire the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s top professionals. The team is looking for country music singers, musical theater performers and character actors who have a strong presence, can project and are able to sing and move well. Performers must be at least 18 years old.
Available roles for the 2021 season include full-time positions, as well as seasonal—summer and Christmas—opportunities.
Auditionees should be prepared to sing two songs (45 seconds each) in their preferred styles. Those auditioning should bring sheet music in their key or accompaniment tracks on CD, as well as a resume and headshot. A piano accompanist and CD player will be provided. Some auditionees may be called back for an additional movement or vocal audition.
Country music stars Carly Pearce and Suzy Bogguss, American Idol alumnus Janelle Arthur, and Eric Martsolf—Brady Black on NBC’s Days of Our Lives— are just a few of the stars who started their careers at Dollywood.
