New Exercise Class: Qigong- beginning 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 1

Qigong (pronounced chi gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that includes relaxation and controlled breathing, while moving gently. Qigong sometimes translates as vital energy cultivation. Therapeutic qigong is 24 simple exercises with its roots in Chinese medicine and helps to balance the body's energies. Practicing qigong stimulates both the internal and external parts of the body. There have been numerous scientific studies submitted to Harvard School of Medicine to show the benefits of practicing Qigong. Jim Perdue is a certified Qigong instructor. Cost- $2
